How was it?
Gorgeous! Trillium were out, and leaves in trees were that light green of new spring growth.
What kind of boats were there?
Two tandem canoes (J&L and Sara & Jocelyn), 3 kayaks (M&M, Dean)
Anything noteworthy?
We used a shuttle service from Pine River Paddlesports Center, who are the wonderful folks who constantly clean and clear the river. We saw only one other party of four guys in a big raft. Lunch at Dobson. Sunshine and temps in the 60's. Nobody dumped. But everyone took in a bit of water as we cruised through the small rapids just before the takeout. Marv discovered that he needs a new sprayskirt. Tandem partners all got along, even if the bow paddlers got a bit of moisture in the waves. Good friends, great river!
