Ann Reichert & friend Erin Snyder, Jim Batsakis, Jim Feiker, Sara Cockrell, Lois Goldstein, Gail Hastings, Jocelyn Trepte, Brad Landis & friend Matt, Steve Somers. Tom & Becky & Pat did hosting duties back at the cottage.
Where did you go?
Spider Lake - Evening paddle
How was it?
Wonderful! Very pleasant, calm water, we were the only ones on the lake. Due to the fact that most of us had worked all day, or in the case of Sara & Lois, paddled the Jordan only hours earlier, it was a short 1 hour paddle so that we could get to the Maxbauer’s hot dogs, chips & dip and two great salads made by Jocelyn & Pat. Tom had a great bonfire going when we arrived to roast our weenies over, followed by s’mores.
What kind of boats were there?
Two canoes, everyone else in kayaks
Anything noteworthy?
We saw a loon carrying her baby on her back and two families of ducks. Lois had some issues grilling her dog so it became a treat for Jocelyn’s dog back home. Many thanks to Tom & Becky for hosting a wonderful event!
