We don't paddle the Pere Marquette very often, but it is one of our favorite streams.  I will take care of getting watercraft permits.  You will need a vehicle pass to park at the accesses for the river: $5 per car if you don't already have one.  The National Parks senior pass will do the trick.

This trip will go from Bowman Bridge to Upper Branch Bridge.  It's about a 13 mile journey with a good current; paddling time is about 4 hours.  The river is fairly easy, with a sand bottom all the way.  We will stop for a leisurely lunch break along the way.  Also, take something to sit on while we have our lunch break.

The Pere Marquette River is about 75 miles from TC, so please plan accordingly.  Carpool if you can.

Note:

After the paddle, we plan to go out to eat and then head to Ludington State Park for a free concert from 7:00 to 8:00 by the “Troubadour of the Great Lakes”, our friend, Lee Murdock.
