Update:
I will be out of town from Sept 6 to the 10th.
I will not have internet access for that time.
If we have to cancel due to bad weather, I will contact Tracie
and she will post it here.
Carpool if you can. The parking at the takeout is limited.

We'll paddle the South Branch of the AuSable while the Anglers will be
doing their thing on foot.
A big party is held at the Gates Lodge on the Main Branch afterwards
for all the volunteers.
It's an abbreviated trip. We will take out at the Castle.
Pack light so you don't have to carry too much stuff up the hill there.
We will have a a key to the gate, so the load up will be easier.
Come along and have some fun on this unusual Fall project.
Directions:
South Branch of the AuSable (Chase Bridge)
Note: There are three decent routes that you can use to get to this launch, depending on where you live and how good your maps are (and how adventurous you are).
1. From Acme via M-72
Drive east on M-72 to Grayling, go through town and then continue east on 72 for about 9 miles to the first full intersection. Turn right, heading south on Chase Bridge Road. Drive about 7 miles until you cross over the bridge and then park on the left. Time from Acme is about 1:20 hours.

2. From TC via Supply Road & Roscommon
Drive east on Supply Road, cross US-131 and go past South Boardman about 6 miles until you reach M-66. Turn right (south) on M-66. Go 4 miles and then turn left and head east on Sharon Road. It will change its name to Fletcher, but stay on it for about 25 miles until it comes to a T-intersection with S.Grayling Road. Turn right and go south about 2 miles to the 4-way intersection with Higgins Lake Road/Roscommon Road. Turn left at that point, and drive east into the town of Roscommon on Business 75. At the traffic light in the center of town, turn left onto 18. Stay on 18 heading east for about two miles, and then turn left so you are heading north on Chase Bridge Road. Drive 2.5 miles north on that until you reach the bridge, and park on the right immediately before you go over the river. Time from Acme is about 1:20 hours.

3. From the south side of TC via Kingsley & Roscommon
Drive east on M-113 into Kingsley and out the other side. After 6 miles, 113 will make a swing south and then ½ mile later, turn left onto 186. Head east, crossing US-131 and go into the town of Fife Lake. Drive ½ mile around the north side of the lake, and then turn left onto Ingersoll (County 608). Follow it east about 8 miles until you reach M-66. Turn left (north) on M-66. Go 1 mile and then turn right and head east on Sharon Road.
