A beautiful fall kayaking trip down the Manistee River on Tuesday, put in at US 131 & took out at Baxter Bridge. The river was calm and the water glistening with the warm sunshine on it. We heard birds in the trees and an occasional red or orange leaf would fall on the water. Consequently no unwanted swimming and much joyful conversations. We recommend joining John and Lois for any Michigan River kayaking trip, we enjoy beautiful scenery and feel very safe in any river conditions.
