The second Annual 6* River Clean Sweep - August 23, 2014 - 9:30am

This is an event that is led by Ethan Winchester but this year, Norm Fred will be the point person for the event this year only because Ethan is rebuilding his house due to a fire there last winter.

The Pigeon River will NOT be done this year because high turbidity.

So, we will try to do 5 rivers this year.

1. Sturgeon River - BRCS (Sign up here) - Norm Fred
2. Maple River - Miller - Van Winkle - Greg Walz
3. Jordan River - ????
4. Boyne River - Mike Ryan
5. Bear River - Dan Myers

TAKE YOUR PICK!

So far, four leaders have committed to this event.

The Sturgeon (BRCS) - - nrfred@yahoo.com
The Bear (Friends of the Bear River) - dan@watershedcouncil.org
The Maple (Miller-Van Winkle TU Chapter) - gwalz@netonecom.net
Boyne River - Mike Ryan  - 231-675-1257
Jordan - ???????????????????

I am waiting for the people from the Jordan to contact me.

If you want to lead the Jordan cleanup and you are not the one from last year's
events, that would be ok, too.  Just let me know and you are on the list of leaders.

You will only need 15 people for the entire Jordan River and 10 or less to do the Boyne.

We will have a party @ The Thirsty Sturgeon in Wolverine afterwards.

Contact the various leader to sign up with them.

Check this site occasionally if you are interested in helping with this fun project.

The event was such a huge success last year, we feel it must be continued to maintain the fantastic momentous Ethan achieved.  Therefore,  if you want to paddle one of these rivers, sign up here for the Sturgeon or look for contact info for the other leaders to sign up with them.

We'll meet to do the STURGEON RIVER at LUMBERMAN'S PARK in Wolverine at 9:30am.

Everyone else will meet where they are directed to by their separate leaders.
