Join the conservation specialist from the Benzie Conservation District and other local kayakers and canoeists in exploring Pickerel Creek and Twin Lakes. This is their second water tour of the year.

What is a water tour? A water tour is a guided tour of a body of water. Our conservation specialist will lead participants in exploring the Pickerel Creek and Twin Lakes.

What do I need to participate? If you have a canoe or kayak, please bring it. If you don't have one, please contact us soon and we will most likely be able to find you one to use. Same thing with a life jacket/PFD. Please dress for the weather and bring some water to drink.

What kind of experience do I need? Beginners welcome!
$5-$10 suggested donation.

To register, email Mike at mike@benziecd.org or call us at (231) 882-4391 Please share this invite with your friends and family.

Driving directions:

Betsie River (Grass Lake Dam)

From Chums Corners take US-31 west about 10 miles and turn left (south) on Reynolds Road.  There is a .1 mile jog to the west crossing Cinder Road.  Continue south on Reynolds (now dirt) about 2.8 miles and watch for the State Forest Campground sign, which is exactly where you need to turn.  Take the campground road left (east) all the way to the dam (about .6 mile) to park and launch.
