October 24, 2015 - Brown Bridge Natural Area Legacy Tree Planting

UPDATE:

10/23/2015

All is ready.

The trees are on the lot and we are very excited to get this project underway.

We'll meet at 9:00am at the East Overlook Parking lot on
Ranch Rudolf Rd at these coordinates

44.65301
-85.49629

 Directions:

1.  Turn east off Garfield Ave. onto Hobbs Highway.

2.  Stay on Hobbs Hwy about 1.8 miles to Ranch Rudolf Rd.  Turn Right.

3.  Go to the SECOND parking lot on the right.  We'll be there.

Bring a long handled digging shovel and drinking water.

It looks like it may rain, so wear warm, dry clothes and a rain hat.

A snack will be provided.

There will be a little picnic with hotdogs, chips and pop at
the the site after the planting.

This year we were very fortunate to receive a grant from the ACA and LL Bean
that will allow us to obtain NATIVE trees to plant in the old Brown
Bridge Pond area.

Take this opportunity to come out and plant some trees in honor of a loved one
or friend or just to plant trees to make the Brown Bridge Natural Area more beautiful.

No names or tags will be allowed in this public area but we will photograph your
tree and mark the location with a GPS so that in years to come you and your family
can come back to see the trees that you planted.

The TAPC and the BRCS has taken the BB Landing as a pet project and we have had
great success doing amazing things with this once inaccessible landing.

Think about how fantastic it will be to come back in the years to come and see what
these trees look like when they are big and beautiful.

This is a way for you to make a permanent difference in the character
in this jewel of the Boardman River.
