Jordan River from Graves crossing to Rogers Road
How was it?
Started as a cool day - somewhere in the low 50s. By the time we started paddling temps had risen to a comfortable mid sixties. There was a chance of rain forecast, but it turned into a beautiful day - few clouds and mostly sunny. Wonderful day and river for a 3 hour paddle.
What kind of boats were there?
3 solo canoes (John, Lois and David), 9 kayaks
Anything noteworthy?
Barb had some excitement when she got turned sideways in a narrow channel made by trees, but escaped intact without "swimming".
All made it through the culvert and drop with only a little "dampness".
Met and chatted with about 30 young men who paddled all the way to the lake.
After the paddle, discussions of routes home to avoid construction and ice cream were the hot topics.
