8 of us paddled from Brown Bridge Landing to Beitner Road: Sara Cockrell, Henry Eckhardt, Roseanne Jamrok, Loretta Pickford, Marlene Puska, Michelle Ibanez, Beverly LaLonde and Jacqui Morgenstein. The weather was just perfect, it would have been too hot on shore but the warm breeze and the water kept us cool.
We were happy to meet Beverly who had not paddled with us before - a very welcome addition to the club! We were also fascinated by her hybrid inflatable kayak. It behaved as well as our rigid ones and yet it fit inside her car's trunk when we were done. She didn't even need any help to get it in there!
We stopped for a late lunch at Shumsky's landing. This is just about useable now, the reconstruction seems to be alsmot done. It's still not ones favorite landing but its the best option on this stretch at the moment.
