Betsie River from Grass Lake Dam to Lindy Road
How was it?
Gorgeous! Warm and no-one else around, except one very large snapping turtle and a lot of birds. Peaceful and quiet, and very warm. We thought about having a swim break, but didn't. We did dip hats and shirts in the water though!
What kind of boats were there?
Everyone in plastic kayaks except Bob in his canoe
Anything noteworthy?
Glad we had tough boats, since there were a few places where we simply couldn't avoid the gravel bars. Lots of places where we needed to maneuver. Hanging tent worms provided a challenge. Took out at Betsie River Canoe and Campground, who had shuttled us back for only $10.
