Trip Reports

June 10 Pine, Dobson to Low

Published on 6/10/2010
Bob Fitch, Jocelyn Trepte & Angie Willis joined me for my last Pine paddle, before I leave for the summer, and what a purr-fect day, warm, sunny, fast current from recent rain, and a small group, so everyone could participate in the conversation together! As we approached Peterson Bridge, we spotted a purr-fect sandbar with a log bench for our lunch. After our short stop, we agreed to pick-up trash for the rest of the trip, since we would finish too soon otherwise. Crocks, tennis shoes, flip-flops, an outfitter's seat cushion, styrofoam cooler, and the usual bottles & cans were retrieved from between branches of downed trees & sweepers. Only 3 tandem rental canoes & 2 sit-on-top kayakers on the river, so we had it to ourselves, on a purr-fect summer day!
