Oct 11 Manistee River - Rainbow Jim's to US 131

Paddlers: John Heiam & Lois Goldstein, Fred & Judy Swartz, Marv & Marlene Puska, Jack Kurtz, Mariah Walton, Dawn Freels, Tracie Lord, and Linda Pelkey.  Everyone but Jack was in a solo kayak.

This section of river is very pretty this time of year because there are a lot of hardwoods along the banks, and some of the banks are almost 200 feet high.  However there are very few places to stop and get out of your boat aside for the Lucas Road Access so be prepared to spend some time in your boat.  The following photos show why everyone was there.
