Traverse Area Paddle Club
Come join us for a fall color tour on our favorite stretch of the lower Manistee, about 45 minutes south of Chum’s Corners. The current is quick, and there are several fun riffles along the way. The waterfalls along the high banks should make this outing a truly delightful visual experience. The fall colors should be spectacular, and perhaps we will spot a soaring bald eagle. Actual paddling time should be about 3 hours.
In the summertime, this section is fine for beginning paddlers, but at this time of the year, we are limiting the outing to those folks who have some experience on river outings. If you are a novice paddler, we would love to take you there, but wait until next summer.
