April 13 Platte, a picture is worth a thousand words

Enjoying a sunny, warm spring afternoon among cedar swamp & gravel bars with friends.

John & Lois, Marv & Marlene, Jocelyn & Max, Sara, Tracie & Linda,
hopping over logs & paddling around stumps & rocks...

Jocelyn is an excellent paddler & sawer, cutting an opening in this downed tree
for the others in the group. And, Max is a great companion to bring along for the ride,
quiet & patient!

Unplanned swimmer with a smile!

I watched this muskrat swimming along the grassy bank, then feeding on branches,
between Indian Hill & Platte Lake.
