Traverse Area Paddle Club
Three solo canoes, unseasonably chilly, many marsh marigolds, no sign of those pink & white showy orchids as yet. Don (Swiss Hideaway outfitter) had given the "all clear," but we discovered the recent blow had just produced two more spots needing his attention. John pulled Lois and me over the top of a fallen spruce which totally spanned the river, and then once through, I tugged on John's canoe from downriver. Lunch nearby in East Jordan at Murray's -- their fish & chips and quesadilla are both excellent. Jocelyn
