Judy and Fred were such a tremendous help today
on the Betsie River! I’m not sure who
appreciated them more, Anne or me. I can’t
thank them enough for everything they did to help out.
It was great to have two identical boats: Anne's new light blue Tribute on its maiden voyage, and Judy's red/orange one. We had the time to linger over log jams galore, whether it was extricating our novice paddler or picking up trash. Judy, thanks for taking the lead on the river and giving such thorough explanations. Fred, thanks for handling the capsizes so
efficiently. And Anne, thanks for never giving up! We were all new at this game once, and with practice, we all got better.
