John and Lois led a well organized yet relaxed adventure on the Manistee River. This trip was a graduation gift which I enjoyed with my friend, Erica Hall. Our trip on the river was about 3+ hours long, with a nice mix of rapids, turns, and beautiful scenery. I felt well informed and safe when John and Lois instructed us on technique, safety, and boat care. I saw an area that close to home that I had never seen before. I plan to return to hike and enjoy the area again.
The Traverse Area Paddle Club is a great organization and I was so grateful to tag along. Thank you to John and Lois!
