Another great Boardman paddle with some fall colors from The Forks to Brown Bridge Landing with Bob, Tom & Becky, and newcomers, Michael & 12-yr old (young 7th grader) Nicholas. We had warm balmy fog until we finished & then, the sun showed its face. We followed a blue huron downstream & finally, got some close-ups out in the ex-pond. Nicholas was so mature for his age, an excellent paddler, involved in band & many sports, in addition to backpacking with his Dad. I had fun talking to them about BRCS river clean-ups (grabbers & spears), the Au Sable River Canoe Marathon (min 15 yo), backpacking Pictured Rocks, John Muir Trail (from SF) & more!
