July 22 - Upper Lakes Challenge #4

What a great day for an open water paddle. Overcast, cool and a nice breeze that really picked up toward the end and you guessed it in our face.  Paddlers were Bert  Courson, Henry Eckhartd, John Lombardi, Dan DeVita, Marlene Puska, Tracie Lord, Roseanne Jamrok, Marlene Puska, Jackie Anderson and Ron Coyne. We seen quite a bit of wildlife on the trip both animal and human. A couple of large speed boats provided practice waves for us and when we entered Torch Lake we got into the real thing. Thanks to Steve Somers for helping me get everyone off the lake without their boats getting swamped. Thank you Marv for once again providing shuttle service. And I suppose... Thank you Glenn for helping everyone get on the water at a nasty put in. We all sat down for a nice meal and talk at the Dockside.
