High winds washout Dunes

Disappointment was diverted by relocating the paddle trip to Little Glen Lake. Higher than anticipated winds forced abandonment of the original plan to go from Glen Haven to Empire on Lake Michigan.
None of the group had ever kayaked this shallow sandbar warm lake, including the two life time natives of TC. The wind was lessened by the Dune Climb hill & for most of the trip they only had to contend with the wakes from pontoon boats or jet skis.
An enjoyable lunch was taken at the lakeside park but no one lingered due to the biting blackflies.
