July 9 Morning on East Bay

Irene, Paul and Kathleen had never been to Yuba (Sayler) Park in Acme before, so it was fun for John & me to show them a place we've been numerous times over the past twenty years. Conditions were as smooth as glass when we launched at 9:30 AM, and there was plenty of room at the boat access. We headed north past a few multi-million dollar homes - I know some folks call them "cottages" - and then headed past Maple Bay Natural Area, and into the pond at Petobego (pronounced "toe-beh-go"). A lovely morning, avoiding the Cherry Festival crowds, and then out for lunch at Bayview Inn in Acme.
