From Bowers Harbor to Power Island and return
How was it?
Cloudy and cool at first, with a northwest wind, then sunshine and 60's for the return trip. The first sunny day all week!
What kind of boats were there?
16 kayaks (including two tandems)
Anything noteworthy?
The group split into the "speedy" group and the "leisure" group, so that everyone was able to enjoy good conversation and a safe passage across the Bay. Here is a photo of the leisure group.
We saw a family of mergansers also crossing over - where were they heading? Everyone met up at lunchtime for a picnic and the had fun riding the waves on the return trip.
As a trip host, the most noteworthy thing to me was the huge response when this outing was posted.
