You are invited to check out Upper Herring Lake and Creek with the Benzie Conservation District. Bring your own canoe or kayak, water, binoculars, or whatever else you want. We'll be there to help answer questions.

After exiting Upper Herring Lake, Herring Creek flows through an extensive wetlands complex, then under M-22 and into Lower Herring Lake. Herring Creek is a Designated Trout Stream with self-sustaining populations of Brook Trout, Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout (steelhead), and possibly Coho Salmon.
