Join Friends of Sleeping Bear Adopt-A River group for
the annual Lower Platte River Clean Up
July 15th: 9 AM
Meet at the Canoe/kayak access point at Lake Michigan and Hwy 22
Any needed equipment and transportation will be provided by Riverside Canoe/Kayak Livery and the National Lakeshore staff.
Transportation to return from the take-out location will be provided if you use your own canoe or kayak.
We will begin with a brief welcome and orientation followed by the river cleanup. If you have a "Friends" vest and grabber stick, please bring them with you. If not, we will have some available for use.
Please bring a mask which will be required while being transported in the transportation vehicles.
Pizza will be provided for all volunteers at the Township Park at the end of Lake Michigan Road.

Please email me (rsteph13@chartermi.net) to let us know if you will be attending the river cleanup and if you need a kayak. We need this information to plan transportation requirements.
If you are not currently a member of the Friends of Sleeping Bear Dunes, we will have the Friends registration form and Park volunteer service agreement available for you to sign prior to attending the river clean up.
