Morning on East Bay
Escape the madness of the National Cherry Festival!
This will be an open water paddle along the shore of East Grand Traverse Bay, paddling for 2 to 3 hours. At the turn-around point, we plan to get out and explore the Petobego State Game Area, which was recently deeded to the Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy. Much of the shoreline is public land (plus a few million dollar homes), so we can pull over almost anywhere. We will be staying relatively close to shore.
The meeting time will be in your email confirmation. Bring a kayak that's at least 12 feet long. We can go out to eat afterwards.
