S Br Cleanup with the Anglers September 7, 2019 This is the 7th year we have helped the Anglers of the AuSable do this combined cleanup of the three branches of the river. They asked us to concentrate on the Castle to Chapel section of the South Branch which was fine with us. We had a key to the Castle gate from the DNR, so it was an easy in and out to unload our boats and Tom at Paddle Brave provided a free shuttle for us from Smith Bridge. We found some interesting items. It was cool and no wind early on but a NW wind came up near the end that bothered us a bit. The picnic and recycle efforts were great and we got some good photos.
