It was delightful to meet all of the people with the paddling club on the Boardman River. The first part of the journey was relaxing and enjoyable; we were captivated by the view of the gorgeous landscape of the Boardman River. As being uneventful as it was, we soon came across something unexpected. We saw, to our surprise, a herd of horses in the middle of the river! We were all awed by sight as beautiful as horses are in the wild. As the surprise ended, we were faced with caution as we passed by the herd one by one. We also enjoyed our time talking with each of the club members. We learned about many opportunities within North Carolina to share our passion for kayaking and the experiences we have gained today with others. We are thankful for this experience and, hopefully, the future trips!
