June 27 Boardman - Forks to Brown Bridge Landing

Brian Wolf | Published on 6/27/2023
Hi.
My name is Brian Wolf. I was on the Boardman River trip today with a bunch of really really cool people. We had a blast. It was a beautiful nice air conditioned 70° day, courtesy of Lois and John. I love that you provide this awesome weather for kayaking. Everyone was absolutely delightful.

I was the newbie in the crew. Welcome to me - as if I were like a regular person. I had so much fun I want to do it again, like maybe tomorrow. If you guys want to great club to kayak with, this is totally the club. Look no further. This is a club you want. Seriously, if you want a fun club, this is it. Stop looking anywhere else.

These guys are totally hooked. We help each other unload and load the kayaks. Nobody swears at each other and nobody throws stuff at each other either. These are really nice people. You’re gonna love them.

Now we’re done kayaking. We’re at Peegeo's. The food looks great. I think the best part of the kayak trip trip is still to come. We have everybody - all different ages. We have Emma who is 20, a real youngster. And the rest of us are pretty much old geezers. But we welcome anybody of any age.

Trust me, you’re gonna love kayaking with these people in these places. After all, we’re talking northern Michigan - fine people and at least today, no mosquitoes!

Note from editor: participants were John & Lois, Brian, Jocelyn, Marlene, Irene & Paul, Emma and Jacqui.
