August 21 Upper Platte

Our group of ten came from two different countries, three different states, three Michigan counties and two countries.
We also had three guys with the same name, so if you needed help, you just had to ask for John.
People: John & Lois, Angie (who graciously provided our shuttle service), Mariah (Ireland) & John W (NM), Harold, John V and Susan B (FL), and Gerald & Sue.
We paddled the section of the Upper Platte from Veterans Park Campground to Deadstream Road, and with water levels a bit higher than normal, most of us avoided the gravel bars. So there was time to chat, especially during the last hour. No problems with navigation. Good to see old friends who hadn't been in Michigan in over a year.
Everyone came for lunch at Papa J's in Honor, and we all left fully satisfied.
